The Polluting Nature of the Internet and How to Reduce your Digital Carbon Footprint

Learn about the carbon cost of your online activities and get some real life tips and strategies on how to measure, reduce and mitigate your digital carbon footprint. This course combines both modules from Web Zero, giving users all the information and tools needed to help their organisation head towards a meaningful net-zero target. There are 2 quizzes, each containing 10 multiple choice questions, that enable you to receive a Web Zero certificate of course completion.

Module 1 - The Polluting Nature of the Internet

A video training course designed to deliver a large and actionable amount of information pertaining to the hidden emissions associated with our online lives. There is a 10 question quiz at the end to be taken in order to grant you a Web Zero certificate of completion.

Module 2 - How to Reduce your Digital Carbon Footprint

A deep-dive into those areas of online operations that directly impact a user's digital carbon footprint. There are practical steps and applications provided in order to give users meaningful reduction strategies. There is a 10 question multiple choice quiz that enables you to receive a Web Zero certificate of course completion.

Central government contracts worth over £5 million a year now require bidders to publish a Carbon Reduction Plan under PPN 006 (formerly PPN 06/21).
